ROBOTICS INTERN

We are seeking robotics interns to help address critical food problems in the agricultural industry by developing innovative technology to better our planet. This person will work on projects related to sustainable farming automation.


The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, enjoys learning and receiving feedback, is comfortable working independently, and is willing to try (and sometimes fail) new methods untraditional to the mainstream farming industry.


Role Description:
This role will be dependent on the experience and interests of the applicant.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers

  • Work on real-world robotics projects to address challenges in agriculture.

Potential Projects:

  • Develop and test robotic systems and simulations using ROS2

  • Program microcontrollers for sensor integration and actuator control.

  • Design, implement, and optimize control algorithms for autonomous operation.

  • CAD design and hands-on rapid prototyping of wheel modules, farming implements and sensor housings, using 3D printers, laser cutters, plasma cutter and other shop tools.

  • Design and refine electrical systems such as motor controllers, sensors, and motherboard

Qualifications:

  • Students pursuing a degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • A proactive mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for innovation.

  • Preferred: A portfolio of existing projects

This is an internship position; applicants must be comfortable working on-site Monday-Friday.
