ASSISTANT MANAGER
The Assistant Manager will support the Founder and Executive Director in executing daily operations and ensure success of facilities, employees, protocols, and customer relationships. Responsibilities:
-
Oversee implementation of seasonal planting schedules and healthy soil practices
-
Prepare for and attend farmer's markets
-
Work with volunteers and oversee CSA programs
-
Maintain proper sanitation and food handling practices
-
Enforce daily detailed record keeping, data collection, and time tracking
-
Oversee daily completion of livestock protocols
-
Prepare and execute deliveries and shipments
-
Ensure a consistent standard of customer service
-
Obtain Organic Certification via CCOF
-
Enforce and maintain cleanliness of facilities
-
Keep licenses, certifications, insurances, and permits current
-
Ensure product quality and availability
-
Coordinate events and guide tours
-
Expand customer base via marketing and outreach
-
Lead regular safety and emergency response trainings, uphold and enforce safety standards and practices
-
Submit grant applications and execute project proposals
-
Generate estimates, invoices, and sales reports via QuickBooks
-
Administrative duties as necessary
Qualifications:

US work authorized

Valid driver's license

Clean, organized, and efficient

Detail-oriented

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work flexibly and autonomously when required

Ability to lift 50lbs
Preferred Skills (but not required):

Class A CDL or willingness to obtain CDL

Spanish / English bilingual

Welding / Carpentry experience

Arborist experience
