The Livestock Caretaker will be responsible for the health and safety of our livestock by completing daily livestock care protocols and monthly barn cleaning. They will also assist with other relevant duties as needed such as attending farmer's markets, record keeping, crop care, and making deliveries.

Compensation:

 

• $17+ per hour

• 3 weeks PTO accrued annually (FT)

• Potential for housing accommodations (FT)

• As a startup we currently do not offer health or retirement benefits

Schedule:

​

• Full or part-time

• Wednesday-Sunday

• 7a-12p (more upon request)

• Hours may vary depending on the season or market days

 

Responsibilities:

​

• Feed livestock

• Milk goats

• Muck barns and coops

• Harvest and process eggs

• Assist with birthing, disbudding, and vaccinations

• Administer approved routine and emergency treatments

• Assist with implementation of breeding and research programs

• Detailed record keeping and time tracking

• Prepare for and attend farmer's markets

• Customer deliveries

• Crop maintenance

• Administrative duties as necessary

 

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50lbs

• Clean, organized, and efficient

• Positive attitude

• Reliable and teachable

Preferred Skills (not required):

​

• Class A CDL or willingness to obtain CDL

• Tractor / trailer operation

• Carpentry / construction

• Spanish / English bilingual

• Welding / soldering

• Photography / Videography

 

No experience necessary; we are willing to train the right individual.
